'A brief history'
In 1977 John G. Campbell of Scotland founded a Counter Evolution Group, and began publishing the newsletter DAYLIGHT. Sadly, John passed away in 1986, and his periodical stopped.
In 1991 It was relaunched by Anthony Nevard of England with the new format magazine 'DAYLIGHT' and it was developed from a simple presentation format, into a quality mini magazine.
In late 2006, it was suspened from publication, as Anthony Nevard took stock, seeking new and more effective ways to promote his message.
In 2007 there was a focus on setting up a new website with all produced 'Daylight' magazines from 1977 onwards being made available for free online.
In 2011 an improved new subscribers magazine was relaunched in January under the continued direction of Anthony Nevard with additional support from an inspired and active group from Ireland.
This relaunch proved successful with 6 editions printed by Novemeber 2012 with a further improved magazine format with magazine cover colour added as well as new articles coming from active Irish supporters.

Daylight held a tour of Ireland in the summer of 2012, visiting clergy, and delivering daylight material to a stall at a summer Catholic youth festival. There was also a series of talks been hosted by Daylight in November of 2012, and is available on audio CD and Video DvD format on request. In 2013 Daylight Origins Society plan to travel to a conference in London, details to be announced.
Daylight supporters include clergy, religious, scientists, doctors, teachers, academics, other professionals and lay folk.
Daylight is funded by magazine subscriptions, donations and sales of publications.
Daylight provides an online mail order service for origins science books and archived magazines, with plans to further develop this area.
Daylight organises private and public meetings and talks and advertises locally.
Daylight informs through letters and articles in the local Catholic Press and other publications.
Daylight promotes weblinks & fellowship with other Catholic Origins Societies and activists in other countries such as The Kolbe Center in the U.S..

Ultimate aims:
to inform Catholics and others of the scientific evidence supporting Special Creation as opposed to Evolution, and to show that the true discoveries of science are in conformity with Catholic doctrines.
Our Guiding Principles
"...the Teaching Authority of the Church does not forbid that, in conformity with the present state of human sciences and sacred theology, research and discussions, on the part of men experienced in both fields, take place with regard to the doctrine of evolution, in as far as it inquires into the origin of the human body as coming from pre-existent and living matter - for the Catholic faith obliges us to hold that souls are immediately created by God. However, this must be done in such a way that the reasons for both opinions, that is, those favorable and those unfavorable to evolution, be weighed and judged with the necessary seriousness, moderation and measure, and provided that all are prepared to submit to the judgment of the Church, to whom Christ has given the mission of interpreting authentically the Sacred Scriptures and of defending the dogmas of faith."

Anthony Nevard has given talks to Pro Fide Forum in London and the Newman Society, Oxford; the St. George Educational Trust; the St. John Fisher Association of priests; the Challoner Group, Westminster; Human Life International; West Bridgford parish, Nottingham. Held bookstalls at the Fifth European Creationist Congress in 1992, and the Faith Of Our Fathers Conference every year from 1996 to 2000.
