All to often in the contemporary church, we run away with popular notions & novel interpretations of scripture. We’ve got more drug trafficking, more prostitution, a phenomenal growth in slavery, and endemic murder casualties. Embracing theistic evolution or liberation theology has not eradicated these issues. This Catholic origins tradition, (with the magisterium and the Bible) surely gives us a proper starting point to make this world a better place.
